We are here to help employers and employees work together to create a healthier, more pro-active and motivated workforce by encouraging and supporting equality in the workplace for disabled people. In the first instance we aim to make legislative responsibilities clear and guide employers to compliance.

The Equality Act 2010 replaces previous key legislation related to discrimination on grounds of gender, pregnancy & maternity, marriage & civil partnership, race, disability, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, religion or belief and age.

The key aspects of the Disability Discrimination Acts (1995/2005), which includes the Disability Equality Duty 2006 (DED) are now included within the new Equality Act and in some regards extends the scope of legal responsibility. A new Employment Code of Practice, will give detail of such responsibilities and will be published in the near future. Embedded within the challenging legal jargon lies the concept of making the workplace a better, fairer, more productive environment for all.
